Three and a half weeks is way too long to be away from Andrew. If it wasn’t for that HUGE detail, I don’t know if I would have gotten on the plane back to Kansas. Our time in Utah was so incredible, but I think it is good to be back.
Wednesday, the first full day back in Kansas, Emily fell down and her little bottom tooth went through her upper lip. I didn’t realize there was any problem at first and was trying to read her a book to calm her down. Then I saw the blood on me, and then all over her face. Andrew was at work so his boss (also his cousin) who was still in our area took Emily and I to an urgent care, and then to another urgent care that actually accepted patients under the age of 18 months. Four hours later we returned home with a yellow discharge slip that suggested Tylenol to help with the pain as the only method of treatment.
I’ve been making progress on a few projects since we got home, but I also watched The Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Andrew, read a 420 page novel, and took naps while Emily napped. It’s been a nice vacation from my vacation and resting up for the moving and driving that Emily and I are about to undertake.
