Rosemary is the next spice the list! This is another example of motivation to start a fresh herb garden. Rosemary is an evergreen perennial. It can be harvested year round. Rosemary has a strong flavor so you don’t need to use very much (I added too much to the soup – it is much better the next day now that the flavor is less intense). Here are some interesting sugg
estions for what to use rosemary in:
- Blend with other fruits, especially oranges
- Marinate lamb, chicken, or pork in rosemary leaves, garlic and lemon juice
- Sprinkle in olive oil and dip bread in it
- Add to soups, sauces, breads, pasta, and bread
- Rosemary goes well with apricots, breads, cabbage, eggs, fish, squash, and tomatoes
I chose to try a Potato, Tomato, and Rosemary soup. It was good, but like I mentioned before I would use a little less rosemary. It makes for a great cold day soup! I recommend eating it with bread. I got the recipe from a video which I will share with you – I just eyeballed the amounts and it turned out well.
