Dear Lydia,
You are smiling! We all love smiling and talking with you in hopes that you will join in. When you first wake up you are quick to give us a grin.
You are also starting to be more vocal. When you are ready for a nap you will start making little shouts that become more emphatic as time wears on. If we start making hums or cooing noises you will respond with similar sounds. Dad and I love “chatting” with you in the evening once everyone else is tucked into bed.
You are eating really well during the day and less often at night. You still do a longer stretch the first chunk of the night and then eat around 2 times before morning. You love and strongly prefer sleeping in your bed when you are tired. If I try to pick you up when you want to sleep you begin crying until I lay you back down.
Lydia you are so patient with everyone who wants to hold you. You are so calm and enjoy being with Emily, Nathan, and Laura who are often clamoring for your attention. Everyone wants to be close to you and look at your eyes.
You are usually content to just hang out in your bouncy seat and watch us or lie on the floor or couch and watch the fan.
Lydia you bring so much joy to our family. We all adore you and are grateful for you.
