Last January I decided that 2017 would be the year we send out our first Christmas card. I scheduled on my calendar to take a family picture in October and collect addresses in November. In March when I found out Laura would be joining our family in November I pushed everything back a month.
While Andrew’s mom was here in December she graciously took pictures for us. I moved right into phase two and designed and ordered the cards. In a quiet moment I collected addresses. I was feeling a little overwhelmed with printing a letter so I froze for a few days on the project.
When I woke up from a nap I found Emily in her room with a stack of stuffed envelopes. She had found the package on my desk and completed the project all on her own. She sealed a few too which then answered the question about whether I would write a letter or not. I was so so so grateful that she took initiative to push things along.
We reached a pause with our trip to Utah, but as soon as we got home Emily helped me address and stamp all of the letters. Christmas cards sent!
Here are the rest of the photos, including Laura’s newborn pictures. Andrew and Nathan were helping me find decent lighting in the house since is was around zero degrees outside.
