Watching my dad, brother, and sister meet Emily for the first time.
Finding a pocket of brilliantly colorful fall leaves among the endless supply of dead brown ones on a walk with Emily.
Our family wall of pictures that Emily patiently watched me create. I love the daily reminder of our memories. I still need to find a picture of the temple to add to the right side.
The laughter in our home that stems from our exhaustion. Sometimes Emily’s cute faces are the catalyst, other times it’s our attempt at conversations that end with, “Why did I just tell you that?…What were we even talking about?”
Watching Andrew and Emily together. I am amazed at my ever growing love for the both of them. They have such a sweet relationship; sometimes I try to do “their” things with Emily. I just get a look from her that seems to make it clear that is a dad only activity – it makes me love them even more (and laugh from exhaustion).
