Columbia Park Zoo

Emily and I met some friends on Tuesday afternoon at the Columbia Park Zoo. We spent time looking at the wallabies. Emily  loved seeing them jump and signed “kangaroo” over and over again. She and her friend ran around to see them and were really excited every time they spotted one.

We checked out the monkey’s next, but the girls mostly just ran around in the grass.

We did see a few more animals along the way, but spent most of our time in the petting zoo area.  There were a few baby goats around and lots of soon-to-be mama goats that were very patient with all the attention. Emily also loved following the chickens around.

We looked at a few more animals, and then headed to play at the park and have some snacks. It was a really hot day and when we got home we ate cold watermelon to cool off. We will be heading back soon!
