Andrew and Emily

I absolutely love watching Andrew be a dad.  A few days ago Andrew popped Emily on his shoulder, closed one eye, and said, “Arrrr, Little Parrot.  Someone has stolen me peg leg.”  He then began hopping around the room on one leg with Emily and they both were laughing.

Yesterday I was in the kitchen when Emily joins me on Andrew’s bike; he was taking her for a little ride around the apartment.

Andrew also got Emily dressed in the above outfit yesterday; it always takes awhile because the whole time he talking with Emily and asking her opinion on the different choices. Sooooo adorable!

With spring break this week Andrew has been around during the day (and working until the wee hours of the morning to compensate). I’ve enjoyed getting a little extra sleep while he and Emily play together. They usually send me something during my nap.

Here was a drawing Emily made for me on Andrew’s iPad.

Andrew helped Emily create a march madness bracket by putting the iPad in front of her and letting her hands hit the screen to make her selection. He also helped me create my very first one; I’m afraid my methods of selection were based on if I had ever heard of the team and if I hadn’t heard of either the better logo was picked. Maybe next year I will spend more than 3 minutes on it.

I caught Emily hanging out with Andrew, switching between holding onto her feet and staring up and holding onto Andrew’s face and talking to him. Absolutely adorable.
