First Haircuts

Saturday morning I cut both Emily and Nathan’s hair for the first time. I felt pretty confident going in because I’ve been cutting Andrew’s hair for a few years. It didn’t take long to figure out that Emily’s hair is suuuuuper curly.  I never had a chance to see if the hair was even or not, so I just went after it and added layers the best I could.  The experience was emotionally exhausting, but in the end her hair turned out well.  She was thrilled to have her hair cut and sat really patiently. We turned on signing time eventually though just to keep her head in one direction for more than ten seconds.

Today after her hair has settled down I’ve decided I really like how this cut turned out.

Nathan and Andrew hung out while Nathan waited for his turn for a bath and haircut.  He has started to suck on two of his fingers rather consistently.

Nathan’s hair in the back and behind his ears was super long so I did a little bit of trimming there.

I took an after picture, and when Nathan heard the camera he turned his head to look for the noise, saw me, and gave the biggest smile. It was purposeful and made me feel like a million bucks.
