The last few weeks have been filled with first time experiences:
BYU Men’s Rugby game – way intense.
Saw the Avengers and then got locked out of our apartment until midnight when our heroic managers came down from Salt Lake to let us in. We got Wendy’s to tie us over.
Melted something in our oven – namely our drying rack for dishes. Thank goodness Andrew’s old roommates let us come by and cook dinner in their clean oven! The whole experience was a great cause for laughter :)
We declared war on our bathroom and kitchen. Andrew suited up and learned how to unclog sinks and shower drains (this has been a problem since the day we moved in and just never had the time to fix it and we didn’t want to pay the $25/hour for someone else to figure it out). I cleaned the plastic out of the oven…
I always wanted to see baking soda and vinegar interact beyond the realm of pop bottle rockets.
Intramural kickball – Andrew and I are on a coed team (JeruCrew). We lost our first game by one point, mainly because we were learning the wide variety of creative rules. We tied our next game, and have won the rest. The tournament is now around the corner and of course we are going for the free shirts!
Free 7-up Slurpies – we left work!!!! with a group of co-workers and grabbed free slurpies; it felt a little like being in high school again, but totally fun.
Watched the Solar Eclipse – we didn’t have glasses so we just squinted long enough to see the moon surrounded by the sun. We are not blind yet.
One of us threw-up. It’s a milestone. No details needed.
Jenny
Glad to hear you are having some fun while being so busy in classes and work! Good luck in the tournament! Maybe I should come to a game just so I can see you from afar. :)
Love ya, Jenny
