I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of a weekly pizza night, but it isn’t something that our family has been able to pull off. Homemade pizza feels like a huge undertaking and our budget doesn’t quite have room for Friday night take-out. Then I came across this sourdough salad pizza recipe and our life is forever changed. Probably not weekly changed (we like variety) but at least monthly.
My first favorite thing about this pizza is that I mix up the dough (in two minutes, in ONE bowl) the night before. I wake up and dinner is practically made. My second favorite thing is the flavor. Oh man. I started eating this pizza and realized that food this good just had to be shared.
Sarah from My New Roots is incredibly thorough in her recipe. We followed her instructions for the dough (let it soaked for 24 hours in the fridge). We used the following toppings: sauce, zucchini, green and red pepper, tomato, spinach, and mozzerella cheese. We then topped it with feta cheese and arugula salad mixed in lemon juice.
Don’t let this face fool you – she loved it.
Enjoy! Food doesn’t get any better than this!
