Navy Pier

Two weekends ago I traveled by Amtrak to Chicago to meet my family there. This was the first step in a week long vacation with them, but because of the beauty of the Navy Pier, it gets its own post!

We were arrived around 10:30am.  It was cool for the beginning of August, and the after-lunch crowd had not yet arrived so it was fairly empty (at least compared to what it would be in a few hours!).

My awesome family! It was the first time I had spent time with them since Derick left on his mission, and it was strange not having him there. I don’t think I’d hurry back, but it was a fun place to explore.
