I decided to take advantage of the hot, humid morning and go for a stroll with my camera in our lovely neighborhood. This place has a certain charm and I love finding items that have taken permanent residence in random locations.
These shoes, for example, have been sitting in the exact same spot on a picnic table outside our apartment since we moved in two weeks ago.
These are the storage shed provided for our use. It takes two hands and ALL my weight to open the door.
These little cars are zooming in and out of our complex all day, providing maintenance for the current residences and preparing for the upcoming move-ins. I think they are a funny contrast to our 1950s housing.
There are garden plots just down the street from our complex. If we are staying through next summer we have a dream to rent one of those plots.
However, I did discover on this little adventure that they have HUGE bees over there. I’m slightly re-thinking my garden plan. Maybe I’ll be mentally prepared enough to face those creatures next spring.
This gem cracked me up! It is located in the middle of the garden plots.
I was very impressed with the number of people out gardening at this time of day. I was rather miserable and I was just walking. They were working.
I am liking this place called Indiana.
