Each day Andrew has been taking a car load of our possessions up to Sandy when he goes to work. It has worked out really well and has helped us pace our packing amidst our busy schedules. Today we emptied the kitchen cupboards (which we are hoping isn’t premature) and made a few discoveries:
1. We had birthday candles all along but apparently we forgot. A couple of birthdays have been celebrated without them! Maybe we will have to make a cake during Christmas break to make up for lost wishes.
2. We found our first (and only) box of macaroni and cheese and a packet of Raman Noodle soup. We got both of these during our first week of marriage, but we never ate them. And we probably won’t eat them:
So they were thrown away, unopened.
3. We had pudding and jello and a Hersey candy bar hidden in the back corners of the cupboard. Tragic. I’m pretty sure there have been a couple of days when they would have fulfilled some craving.
4. This isn’t a food item, but I found the passport pouch that I got when I went to Jerusalem. I searched all over for it when Andrew’s brother needed one for his mission in Ireland. I was shocked that I couldn’t find something in our little apartment. Oh well, at least I know that It really does exist.
