We had a long weekend to squeeze in all of our summer activities – we made the most of it!
Actually I should back up to how the weekend started. I had my last final was a presentation at 11 on Thursday. At 11 the teacher said that he would like to forgo the 12 20 minute oral presentations and just look at them himself. So the weekend started three hours earlier.
Andrew and I helped a family in our ward move and then one of my friends. Provo’s population has completely changed in the last four days.
But then the real fun began:
We took advantage of BYU’s game center and went bowling followed by an 1 1/2 hours of pool. It turns out Andrew is a fantastic pool player! I’m talking jumping over balls and still making shots. I don’t know any pool lingo, but just picture acrobatic moves that the brain can hardly fathom.
He also is the only one who broke 100 in this family…
That evening we took off to try to find the hot springs. It was a beautiful little hike, but never did find them. After looking on google maps upon our return home, we discovered we were only about 1/4 mile away – so close. Maybe next time!
Saturday we were able to go up to Salt Lake and spend the day with Andrew’s family. We made freezer jam out of 14 lbs of boisonberry. Hopefully it will be enough to last us a couple of years!
Now we are ready and excited to go back to work and classes…goodbye summer vacation.
