Sometimes I wake up in the morning, look around, and realize that the wonderful elves who clean our little apartment must have taken a few vacation days. Darn. Today was one of those days.
Andrew was taking off for campus around 10am, so I figured that would be a good time to get started digging ourselves out. I was pleasantly surprised to find Andrew starting on the dishes before he left, which also got the ball rolling for my own cleaning adventures. Of course, once the apartment is clean, it becomes a blank canvas for more messes!
I decided to attempt my own homemade pita and hummus, something I’ve been planning to do ever since returning from Jerusalem. It is fun to have time to do things I’ve wanted to do for years. 3 hours later:
Both need a little bit of tweaking before I think they will be perfect, but it certainly made for a fantastic afternoon snack!
