Sunday, August 17, 1pm. Andrew arrived at my parent’s home after a three hour drive from Des Moines. We played games with my family, cooked out for dinner, went on a walk, and put Emily to bed.
Monday, August 18, 7:40am. Andrew and I went on a breakfast date. Just the two of us. Without Emily. This was the first time we’ve left her with someone (I don’t think we are super over-protective parents; the opportunity just hasn’t come up before now. Thanks Mom!). We thought it was fitting to be alone to celebrate our third anniversary.
We got a half dozen bagels from Panera and sampled all the different options.
Monday, August 18, 8:40am. Andrew dropped me off back and my parent’s home and he went back to Des Moines for the week.
Wednesday, August 20. Our actual anniversary. I am so grateful for Andrew. We have had a very full, very fast three years and it has been absolutely perfect for us. We’ve had our share of joys, challenges, trials, trips, graduations, moves, jobs, and blessings. We’ve learned a lot, changed a lot, and grown a lot. We still have a long way to go, and I’m thrilled spend eternity with my best friend, one adventure at a time.
