Andrew and I checked out the the Salt Lake City Farmers Market, something I’ve wanted to do since last August. Now that we have less than two weeks in Utah, I realized it was our last chance. I was blown away by the number of people that were there. We enjoyed looking at all of the different photography, woodworking, and pottery. We also made sure to get our fair share of salsa and marmalade samples. At an indulgent moment we shared a glass of watermelon lemonade. It was a fun experience, but I don’t think we would make this one a weekly tradition if we were hanging around.
After the farmers market we helped Andrew’s sister and brother-in-law move into their new place of dwelling in the Salt Lake Area! We were thrilled to have them closer; slightly less thrilled when we realized that we would be moving 1 1/2 weeks later, and even less thrilled when they were going to be on vacation for the 1st week. But I’m sure we will enjoy knowing we are in close proximity for 1/2 a week :)
Andrew’s birthday isn’t for a week and a half, but because it will fall on a day where everything we own is packed up, we had an early birthday cake. German Chocolate with coconut frosting – his absolute favorite! After 2 years, I’m actually starting to like it quite a bit myself. Sunday we spent a lot of time with Andrew’s family and had our last monthly Snow Family Dinner in Provo for awhile. Grandpa Snow was there along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and 2 fiancees (busy wedding summer for the Snow family!). Great food and conversation as usual. I loved hearing stories about Great-grandpa Snow – part of the fathers day celebration. I am really going to miss being so close to this incredible family!
Around 11 pm Sunday night Andrew discovered a tick on his leg from our hike in Zions. This led to a quick tick search. I think I’m all clear. I’ve never had a tick. Maybe slightly paranoid still.
This upcoming week is our last full week in Utah. Bring on the packing!
