The last day of our trip had a few highlights that need mentioning:
We slept WAY in. For me that was 9. For Andrew that was 11.
As we were approaching Toquerville going north on 1-15, there was a lot of smoke. We quickly discovered that there was a fire in the median between the two roads. Emergency vehicles were just arriving at the scene and already began the work of putting out the fire. We definitely passed a few flames.
Andrew remembered a place in Beaver that he went to with TEE earlier this year at the end of a conference. He said it was the best ice cream he has ever had. We couldn’t pass by an opportunity for great ice cream at the Cache Valley Cheese Factory. My grasshopper flavor was soooo delicious I’ve been tempted to drive the couple hours to get another cone. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and ate our treats surrounded by cows, which I thought was rather appropriate.
About two blocks from home we started smelling gasoline. This brought back memories of fuel pump problems from a year and a half ago. Sure enough when we pulled into our spot a few minutes later we saw our dripping gas trail. This problem has yet to be resolved, but we are extremely grateful that we didn’t have any problems further from home!
